We are a Consumer-based Community Organization and our mission is to be an “ all inclusive “ access point for consumers, regardless of their income or eligilibility for public programs, subsidized coverage, or non subsidized coverage. Our duties include: Conduct public education activities, Distribute information on enrollment, Facilitate enrollment, Refer people to the appropriate agency if they have questions, complaints or grievances, Provide information to the community, Refer people to other options in the the market if they not qualify for the insurance exchange, Assist the Insurance Exchange in educating and enrolling Nevada uninsured population to become insured. First serve the consumer in CARE role as Navigator. Accountability and Oversight. Health Care Expertise Across the full range of coverage options and Training and Certification At CARE, our strongest asset is our expertise and cultural competency in assisting population served by the insurance exchange or by the health coverage programs, including communities of color and vulnerable populations, such as low-income families, seniors, individuals who are not functionally literate or have low-English literacy, families of individuals with special health care needs, individuals with physical or mental disabilities, and individuals with substance-abuse issues.
