One in five Nevadans are uninsured. More than 400,000 Nevada residents between the ages of 18 and 64 are uninsured. More than 100,000 children in our State are uninsured. More than 200,000 young adults (ages 18 to 34) are without insurance.

The rise of unemployment over the past several years had led to an increase in the uninsured population. Over 70% of the uninsured are U.S. citizens and over 50% are employed. (Many of the uninsured report working less than full-time and/or work for employers that do not offer employer-sponsored insurance.) The uninsured are disproportionally communities of color and lower income.

In order to protect our communities from being ill-prepared about health issues, C.A.R.E. is reaching out to people and organizations to create awareness about the new Affordable Health Care Act and the benefits that our community members can already access.

Help us in our mission to help others learn how to be part of the health care benefits in our State. C.A.R.E. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating Nevadans about the Affordable Care Act's consumer and patient protections that are already benefiting millions of Americans.
